Whether you’re a pair of co-founders, two colleagues leading a project or a team together or sharing a job, regular collaborators, a producer/director partnership or a creative duo, the success of your endeavours depends on the strength of your relationship.
Systemic coaching focuses on the relationship system as a whole with a softer focus on individuals. Through paying attention to the relationship dynamics between you and how you work together, we learn about what will help the relationship to thrive.
This work is designed to address the challenges of strengthening communication, developing a culture of leadership, implementing change, building resilience and creating from differences. It supports connection, positivity and co-responsibility for the sake of greater productivity and creativity. Grounded in practical realities, it’s also playful, creative and enlightening.
The engagement is designed around the outcomes you want for yourselves and your business. Examples of what we could focus on include…
- developing a vibrant and sustainable shared vision and mission
- defining a strategy to guide decision making and measure success against
- skilfully navigating change in the business and its impact on your relationship
- clarifying roles and responsibilities
- exploring and leveraging your differences and constructive approaches to conflict
HOW IT WORKS
Assessment…
The first step would be for you both to answer some questions about the partnership and the outcomes you would like from the coaching engagement. This involves a 30 minute telephone call with each person.
Strategy Session…
We then arrange an initial coaching session together where we review the themes that came up in the assessment, design how we want to work together and explore the priorities and objectives for the coaching. This first session is around 2 hours.
The assessment and strategy session will give you some new insights and clarity around the outcomes you want and the specific challenges that we could work on together.
Coaching Programme…
Based on what we learn from the strategy session, I would then propose a coaching programme designed around your priorities. This would typically take the form of a series of sessions, 2-4 weeks apart over a period of several months.
Logistics…
Sessions can be delivered in person depending on your location or via phone/Skype.
